Privacy notice
Replace [Your legal name] before publishing. Last updated 6 October 2026.
Free Web Calculator is operated by [Your legal name]. The calculator is built so the arithmetic never needs to leave your browser.
Sums and the tape
Numbers you type, memory, and the paper tape are handled in the page. They are not sent to us and not written to local storage. Closing or reloading the tab clears them. We cannot recover a sum for you, because we never received it.
If you contact us, your email app sends the message. We use it to reply. Please do not include anything sensitive just to describe a calculation: the expression is enough. Messages are not added to a marketing list.
Hosting logs
The host of the website logs ordinary requests: IP address, browser type, and which page was opened. Those logs are about visiting the site, not about the contents of the tape, and they follow the host's retention schedule.
Advertising
The site may later show ads through Google AdSense or a similar network. Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can control personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. Google explains its use of data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Visitors in the UK, the EEA, and similar places should get a certified consent message before advertising cookies are used. This template does not include that message, so do not enable personalised ads until it is in place.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold. For most visitors that is limited to a hosting log, plus an email thread if you wrote to us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, and a complaint to a regulator. Email hello@freewebcalculator.com.
Children
The calculator is a general-audience tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and the sums they type are not collected by us.
Changes
If a future version uploads calculations or adds analytics, this notice will be changed first and the date above will move.
